Is Law Offices MBA legitimate?

I just received a call from a company called Law Offices MBA claiming I owe $400 for an unpaid medical bill. Honestly, I can't remember having any outstanding medical bills. I also tried searching for them online but couldn't find much information. Are they even a legitimate debt collector?

Even if they are legit, I'd like to verify this debt is real and actually belongs to me. Is there a way to do this, maybe through something called debt validation? Or should I consider hiring a credit repair service? This whole situation is really confusing.

This letter should show details about the debt, including who you owe and for what.

Legit debt collectors must send this within 5 days of contacting you. If they can’t prove it’s your debt, you don’t have to pay.

Never make a payment or agree to a plan until you’re sure the debt belongs to you. Ask them to send proof in writing. If they refuse, that’s a red flag. Legit companies will provide proof without a problem.

Check your credit report to see if there’s any mention of this debt. You can also call the medical provider they claim you owe to confirm if they sent your account to collections.

Start by requesting debt validation and checking your credit report

Most of the steps credit repair services take are things you can do yourself for free.
