Fix Your Credit Consulting

I’ve been looking into different credit repair services and came across a company called Fix Your Credit Consulting. From what I can tell, they advertise themselves as a more hands-on service that works directly with clients to challenge negative items on their credit reports and guide them through the process of rebuilding.

I’ve seen a mix of opinions about credit repair in general, and I know there are a lot of scams out there, so I want to be careful before committing to anything. Has anyone here worked with Fix Your Credit Consulting specifically? Did they actually help remove negative marks or improve your score, and were they transparent about pricing and results?

I’d really appreciate hearing any firsthand experiences, good or bad. Even general advice on what to watch out for when working with credit repair companies would be helpful. Sometimes they promise fast fixes, but I know real results usually take time. Still, if this company is legit, it could be worth checking out.

I actually worked with Fix Your Credit Consulting about two years ago when I was drowning in late payments and a couple of collections. They did get one collection removed and helped me set up a plan to build positive history. It wasn’t overnight magic, but I saw around a 70-point bump over 8 months. The only downside was their fees weren’t cheap. Still, they were more transparent than some other companies I looked at.

I used them briefly but canceled. They did challenge a few items, but it felt slow and I realized I could send letters myself for free. Honestly, a secured card + keeping utilization under 30% helped my score way more than paying them monthly. Not saying they’re a scam, just saying you can probably DIY a lot of this if you’ve got the patience.

Lol credit repair companies always sound like the infomercial version of we’ll fix your life in 3 easy payments. I’m not saying Fix Your Credit Consulting is shady, but just remember the law: nobody can guarantee they’ll remove accurate negative info. If they promise otherwise, ???. Improvements usually come from managing debt and time passing.

My cousin used them after a divorce messed up her finances. She said they were really nice to work with like actual phone calls, not just automated updates. They did manage to clear up an old medical collection. She felt it was worth the money because she was overwhelmed. So maybe it depends on whether you want hand-holding or you’re fine doing it yourself.

Yeah, I checked their BBB page a while back. They had mostly positive feedback but a couple of complaints about slow results. But to be fair, credit bureaus can take months to respond to disputes, so sometimes it’s not even the company’s fault. The key is whether they explain that up front instead of overselling.

Honestly, the best credit repair is paying your bills on time and not maxing cards. That said, I get that if you’ve got collections or errors, you want help fixing them. I’ve heard mixed things about Fix Your Credit Consulting. If you go for it, just don’t expect miracles in 30 days. That’s not how FICO works, lol.

I like to play devil’s advocate here. If you’re busy or stressed, outsourcing the boring, tedious dispute process can be worth it. That’s where services like Fix Your Credit Consulting fit in. They’re not doing anything you can’t do, but sometimes paying someone to do it keeps you consistent. Think of it like paying a personal trainer even though push-ups are free.

I did a consult with them but didn’t sign up. They were professional, explained their process, and didn’t push me hard to enroll. I actually appreciated that. Pricing was a bit high for my budget though. If I had extra cash, I might have tried it. Instead, I bought a cheap 609 letter template online and handled it myself.

For anyone new to credit repair: beware of companies that promise to wipe your report clean. That’s not real. What can happen is they dispute errors or unverifiable stuff. I don’t know Fix Your Credit Consulting personally, but if they focus on what’s legit (errors, duplicates, misreporting), then they’re probably fine.

I hired them last year, and my score jumped about 50 points over 6 months. They got rid of a bogus charge-off that shouldn’t have been there. That alone was worth it because I was trying to get approved for a mortgage. Yeah, I could’ve fought it myself, but I liked that they handled it while I was busy with work and family.

The real question: did they improve long-term habits? Lots of people fix their reports, then tank their score again because they don’t know how to use credit responsibly. If Fix Your Credit Consulting actually coaches clients on utilization, inquiries, new tradelines, etc., then that’s way more valuable than just disputes.

I tried three different credit repair companies (including this one), and honestly? They’re all pretty similar. The difference was customer service. Fix Your Credit Consulting actually answered calls and emails, which is rare. The others ghosted me half the time. That alone made it worth sticking with them.

unless you’re fighting multiple complex errors, save your money. Credit repair is just persistence, and the bureaus are legally obligated to respond to disputes. I’d spend that consulting money on paying down balances. But if you’re overwhelmed, I guess having someone like Fix Your Credit Consulting in your corner could help.

I had a bad experience with another company, not this one, but it taught me to ALWAYS get everything in writing. Don’t just trust a phone pitch. If Fix Your Credit Consulting says they’ll do something, ask them to email the exact process and refund policy. Protect yourself.

Tbh, credit repair companies remind me of weight loss programs. They give you structure, but you could technically do it on your own with discipline. Some people need the push, others just need Google and a spreadsheet. Fix Your Credit Consulting seems to be in the middle....not shady, but not magic either.

I feel like the best thing Fix Your Credit Consulting did for me was accountability. I’d get updates, and it pushed me to stay on track. It wasn’t just about disputes, but also reminders to pay bills on time. Kind of like having a coach. Expensive coach, but still.

If you’re thinking about using them, ask if they help with goodwill letters too. Sometimes calling or writing directly to creditors can remove late payments. A good consulting service should guide you through that, not just disputes with bureaus.
