Received a debt collection call from 888-899-6650. What should my next steps be?

I’ve been getting calls from 888-899-6650 claiming to be a debt collection agency, but I’m not sure if its legit or a scam. They’ve left voicemails saying I owe $1,200 for a medical bill, but I’ve never received anything in writing about this debt.

When I Googled the number, it came up as connected to Transworld Systems Inc., which seems like a real company, but I’ve also seen mixed reviews online. I don’t want to ignore it if its real, but I’m worried about giving out personal information to a potential scam. Should I ask them for written proof of the debt? Or is there a safer way to verify if this is legit? Has anyone else had experience with calls from this number?

Its likely a scam, mistaken identity, or even identity theft by someone close. If they call again, get the company name, request mail-only contact, and send a debt validation letter. Templates exist!
