Is www.experianidworks.com/credit trustworthy for identity protection?

I recently came across the Experian IdentityWorks service, specifically the website www.experianidworks.com/credit. It was offered as part of a data breach response from my organization. While it seems like a useful tool for monitoring credit and identity theft, I can't help but question its legitimacy and effectiveness.

Is this an official Experian service? Has anyone had experience with it? Considering Experian's past security breaches, should we trust them to safeguard our information? I also noticed there's no clear cross-linking to the main Experian site, which makes me a bit skeptical.

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences. Is it worth signing up, or are there better alternatives out there?

I got one of these in the mail and started thinking maybe Experian gains something if fewer people take the offer, like a flat fee from the company responsible for the breach. That could explain why their credit monitoring service comes across as shady.
