Is Monarch Recovery Management legit?

My phone has been blowing up lately with calls from a company called Monarch Recovery Management. They claim I have an outstanding debt, but I honestly can't recall ever having any business with them.

Are they even legitimate? I haven't found much information about them online, and I don't want to risk giving out personal details to a potential scam operation. But it could be that since my name is fairly common, so maybe they're contacting the wrong person.I don't want to ignore these calls, but I'm also hesitant to engage with them if they're not legitimate.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with Monarch Recovery Management? Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated! Should I just ignore them, or is there a safe way to find out what's going on?

It’s important to find out if the debt is real but never give out personal details over the phone
ask them to send a debt validation letter to your address. If they refuse or avoid it, that’s a red flag as you know

Legitimate debt collectors must send a letter showing details about the debt. Tell them you’ll only discuss the matter after receiving proof in writing.

Before engaging with them, check your credit report to see if there’s any debt listed under your name. If you don’t see anything, it might be a mistake or a scam

If you have a common name, debt collectors might be contacting the wrong person. Politely ask them to verify the details they have

If Monarch Recovery keeps calling without sending a validation letter or providing proof of the debt, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
