I just received a call from a company called Law Offices MBA claiming I owe $400 for an unpaid medical bill. Honestly, I can't remember having any outstanding medical bills. I also tried searching for them online but couldn't find much information.

Are they even a legitimate debt collector? Even if they are legit, I'd like to verify this debt is real and actually belongs to me. Is there a way to do this, maybe through something called debt validation? Or should I consider hiring a credit repair service? This whole situation is really confusing.
