Is FreeTaxUSA legit? Any help?

I'm looking into FreeTaxUSA this tax season because it seems affordable, but I'd like to hear firsthand experiences before I go ahead.

If you've used FreeTaxUSA before, could you help me out with these questions?
How does FreeTaxUSA compare with other popular tax filing services in terms of accuracy, user experience, and simplicity?
Have you encountered any problems with state tax filings or IRS acceptance using this platform?

Been using FreeTaxUSA for the past 5 years. It’s legit. Super affordable, accurate and does everything i need. Only downside is that state returns arent free but its still way cheaper than TurboTax

It’s especially great for people with simple W-2 income. If u have a lot of deductions or own a business then u might want to go with a more premium option for better tax optimization.

I’ve used FreeTaxUSA for the last 4 years. It’s 100% legit. Federal filing is free and they only charge for state. If you don’t need hand-holding then it’s a solid option.

I totally understand being hesitant! i was skeptical too, but after getting hit with insane fees from H&R Block one year, i switched. FreeTaxUSA worked great and i got my refund just as fast.

I used it last year. It’s definitely cheaper than TurboTax but I did hit a few roadblocks. The state filing felt clunky and I had to re enter some info a few times before it went through. But, no IRS issues so far.

Been using FreeTaxUSA for like 5 years now. It’s barebones compared to TurboTax but if u know what you’re doing, it’s solid. Never had issues with accuracy or IRS rejections.

I cross checked FreeTaxUSA’s numbers with TurboTax out of paranoia and they matched exactly. UI isn’t as slick but it gets the job done and doesn't upsell you to death.

It’s legit… if your return is simple. If you’ve got crypto, multiple states, or self-employment, it’ll do it, but it ain’t gonna hold your hand like TurboTax. Just know what you’re doing.

I'm a CPA and i recommend FreeTaxUSA to clients with simple returns. It’s not flashy but it’s accurate and does the job well.

Yep, totally fine. I had a W-2, 1099-INT, and some stock stuff. Filed everything with no hiccups. IRS accepted it in like 20 minutes. Super no-frills.

SAME. i switched from TurboTax to FreeTaxUSA and saved like $70. Felt like i cheated the system (legally 😎). Interface is a bit outdated, though.

Used it the past 3 years. no issues. IRS accepted within 24 hours each time. It’s bare bones compared to TurboTax, but that’s why i like it...no upsells every 5 seconds.

I get it....tax season is stressful AF. i was super anxious trying a new platform but FreeTaxUSA ended up being surprisingly easy. not flashy but got the job done.

I switched from TurboTax after it kept trying to sneak in extra fees. FreeTaxUSA felt like a breath of fresh air. Yeah, it’s not the prettiest UI, but it gets the job done.

I've used FreeTaxUSA for the past 4 years. It’s super straightforward for W2 filers. Never had an issue with federal or state returns being accepted. If u r self employed or have complex deductions, though it might be a bit bare bones.

Used them for the last 4 years. No problems at all. Cheaper than TurboTax, and it actually lets you file your taxes without trying to upsell you every two seconds. highly recommend.

Used it last year and was honestly impressed. No frills just straight up tax filing. It’s not as pretty as TurboTax but it gets the job done. Saved me like $90 compared to H&R Block.
