I've been thinking about fixing my credit myself instead of hiring a credit repair company in georgia. as i know DIY credit repair is free and it gives you full control over disputes and avoids shady companies on the other hand hiring a service can be faster they handle legal disputes and paperwork and they understand georgias credit laws too.
has anyone had success with DIY credit repair in Georgia & how long did it take to see results?

I went the DIY route, and it worked out well for me! The first thing I did was pull my credit reports from all three bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) for free at AnnualCreditReport.com. I went through everything carefully, identified errors, and sent dispute letters to the credit bureaus directly. It took about 30-45 days to see changes after submitting disputes.

I also negotiated with creditors for goodwill deletions on late payments, which helped a lot. It took around 4-6 months of consistent effort, but my score went up significantly. If you have time and patience, I definitely recommend doing it yourself rather than paying someone

I tried a credit repair service in connecticut, but honestly, I felt like they just sent basic dispute letters that I could’ve written myself. I ended up switching to a DIY approach disputing errors through the credit bureaus, negotiating with collections agencies, and setting up auto-pay to prevent future late payments.

One of the biggest improvements came from lowering my credit utilizatio. I worked on paying down balances to keep my usage under 10-30% of my credit limit. That alone gave me a noticeable score boost within two months

DIY credit repair definitely works if you're patient and consistent! Disputes with bureaus take 30-45 days but real improvements can take a few months, depending on your situation. Just stay on top of your reports and send goodwill letters for late payments!

DIY credit repair works if you're patient—disputes take 30-45 days per round. Focus on goodwill letters, AZEO and monitoring reports for quick wins! If you need legal muscle then Safeport Law is solid in Georgia.
