Hunter Warfield- Debt Repercussions

I recently received a letter dated 06-06-24 from a debt collector, Hunter Warfield, stating that I owe an outstanding balance of approximately $720. According to the letter, this debt originated from my previous landlord and has now been transferred to them for collection.

While I haven't seen anything related to Hunter Warfield on my credit report yet, I've heard it's best to address these issues promptly. Should I contact Hunter Warfield directly to discuss options for resolving this debt, such as payment plans or settlements?

In addition, I'd like to understand the potential repercussions of this debt. How long would a collection from Hunter Warfield typically stay on my credit report, if it appears at all? Would paying the debt in full be reflected on my credit report? Finally, does Hunter Warfield offer 'pay for delete' agreements?

Before discussing payments request a debt validation letter from Hunter Warfield.

They must prove you actually owe this debt. Don’t pay or agree to anything until you’re sure the debt is legit. If they can’t provide proof, you may be able to dispute it and have it removed.

If hunter warfield reports the debt to the credit bureaus, it could stay on your credit report for up to 7 years from when the account first went delinquentnt.

U call Hunter warfield to discuss payment plans or settlements but make sure u ask about a 'pay for delete' option. This means they agree to remove the collection from your credit report if you pay so get everything in writing before making any payments.

protect yourself by getting everything in writing. It’s good to address the issue early, but take your time to verify the debt and understand your options
