CIT Bank tips and takeaways to make things easier

I want to share my experience with CIT Bank for anyone considering them for savings or CD products. In short it's been frustrating. The site is clunky and unreliable but the biggest issue by far has been the customer service rude unhelpful and just unpleasant to deal with. I’ve managed accounts with several banks over the years and CIT has been the most disappointing by a wide margin. If their website and support ever decide to cooperate i’ll be wrapping up my final transactions and closing all my accounts. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Same here. Tried to open a savings builder account and it felt like applying for a mortgage. Site crashed 3 times before it let me in.

Weird i’ve had a decent experience with them. 🤷‍♂️ Site's not great, I’ll give you that, but their 1-year CD rate was solid when i signed up last year.

Totally agree. i opened a CD there for the interest rate and regretted it almost immediately. U would think a bank in 2025 could figure out basic website UX

I work in finance and i advise people against CIT all the time. The tech is a mess and they seem to have outsourced support to the depths of Mordor.
