Cash app settlement lawsuit and 2025 payout date

If anyone has more info on the Cash App settlement lawsuit and the expected payout timeline in 2025. A few headlines floating around but haven’t been able to find solid details like who qualifies how to file a claim (if it’s still open) and when payments are actually supposed to go out.

Has anyone here gone through the process or received any updates? Would love to know what to expect or if it’s just one of those things that drags on forever.
 
For those asking, the Cash App settlement stems from a 2021 data breach. They settled a class action for a few million. If u used Cash App during a certain time and got an email/mail about the breach, u r likely eligible. Claim deadline passed early 2024. Payments are allegedly going out mid-2025.
 
Yeah i looked into this last month. If it's the same case i think you're referring to, the claim deadline was back in Feb 2025. If you didn’t file by then u might be out of luck😕
 
Of course it’s dragging on. These settlements always do. They’ll email you in 2027 offering a $4.37 Venmo payment and a "sorry bro" jpeg 🙄
 
For those asking, this is over alleged data mishandling around 2021. If u used Cash App Investing, you might qualify. Filing deadline was March 2024 though.
