Best way to file taxes online? Looking for recommendations!

Tax season is here, and I’m trying to find the easiest and most affordable way to file online. I used TurboTax last year, but the fees added up fast, so I’m hoping to find a cheaper alternative.

My tax situation is pretty simple just W-2 income, no investments or side gigs. I’ve heard about FreeTaxUSA and Cash App Taxes, but I’m not sure if they’re legit. Has anyone used them? Or do you have any other recommendations? I’d love to hear your experiences before I decide. Let me know what’s worked for you!

I hear you! TurboTax fees can stack up fast. FreeTaxUSA and Cash App Taxes are both legit. Cash App Taxes is completely free for federal and state while FreeTaxUSA is free for federal but charges a small fee for state.
If your tax situation is simple, either could work great. I've used FreeTaxUSA before and it was smooth and affordable.

if your taxes aren’t complicated, just go with IRS Free File. It’s a bit clunky but at least you won’t end up paying for something you didn’t need

I’ve used FreeTaxUSA for a few years now and it’s legit, super affordable and easy to use. Cash App Taxes is 100% free if your situation is simple so that’s worth checking out too. Both are solid options if you’re looking to save.

If you’ve got a simple W-2 return, Cash App Taxes is totally free and legit. You might also check IRS Free File if you qualify. What state are you filing in?

Yep both FreeTaxUSA and Cash App Taxes are legit! Cash App Taxes is totally free for federal and state while FreeTaxUSA charges a small fee for state filing. I've used FreeTaxUSA before its super easy and way cheaper than TurboTax. If you want totally free then go with Cash App Taxes

i guess it’s just one of those universal adult fears that never really goes away no matter how many times you file.

Fingers crossed they don’t come knocking this year!

If you want to avoid TurboTax fees then Cash App Taxes and FreeTaxUSA are both solid choices
and u can also check IRS Free File if you qualify.

I totally get you...those TurboTax fees can sneak up! With a simple W-2, you might want to check out IRS Free File or Cash App Taxes as both are straightforward and completely free for simple returns. i've heard great things about them being user-friendly and quick
hope you find the perfect fit

I’ve used FreeTaxUSA for the past 4 years. Totally legit super cheap free federal, small fee for state and they don’t try to upsell you every 2 seconds like TurboTax. Just make sure to manually double-check your entries.

I tried Cash App Taxes last year. It was... okay. A little janky UX and i kept wondering if i was going to end up audited by accident. got my refund tho 🤷‍♂️

I used Cash App Taxes last year and was shocked it was 100% free. Like, no “add $40 for audit protection” pop-ups. Felt like i was getting away with something 😂

FreeTaxUSA is legit. Used it for the past 3 years. $0 for federal, $15 for state, and no upsells every five seconds like TurboTax. Highly recommend if your situation is simple.

I used FreeTaxUSA last year and it was smooth as butter. Totally free for federal and only like $15 for state. No upselling every two clicks like TurboTax.

I used FreeTaxUSA for the first time this year and it was surprisingly smooth. No upsells every 2 seconds like TurboTax. Only paid $14 to file state. Would recommend 👌

Tried Cash App Taxes and it felt kinda janky. It technically worked but the UI gave Craigslist vibes. Wouldnt recommend unless u really need 100% free.
