Credit Repair Help in Louisville, KY?

I’m in Louisville KY and trying to find a good, trustworthy credit repair service around here. My credit’s taken a hit over the years mostly from old debts and some late payments and i’m ready to clean things up and get back on track.

Has anyone worked with a local company they actually liked? I’m looking for someone legit not just making big promises they can’t keep. Any advice or personal experiences would really help.

I used River City Credit Solutions last year. Took a few months but they helped me get 3 old collections off and bumped my score 72 points.

Check out Metro Credit Education. They’re not flashy but they host free workshops at the community center sometimes. Learned more in one of those than from any consultation call.

Try L&N Federal Credit Union. They’ve got free financial counseling and helped me figure out a plan without pushing anything shady. Not technically a repair service but honestly a lot more useful.

I actually worked with Derby City Credit Repair ..they’re small but they explained every step. No shady contracts and they helped get a collections account removed.

feel you. My credit tanked after my divorce, and it was hard digging out. I worked with a lady named Carla at River City Credit Repair. Super patient, didn’t overpromise anything just helped me set up disputes and gave real budgeting advice. Felt more human than those big national services.

Try Metro Credit Rebuilders off Bardstown Rd. My cousin used them after a messy divorce and she went from 540 to 680 in about 9 months. They're not miracle workers, but they’re honest.

I used Rise Up Credit in J-town. Small team but they were super helpful and didn’t make BS promises. Took about 8 months to see big progress but it felt worth it

I used Bluegrass Credit Solutions a while back small local outfit. They didn’t promise me miracles just steady cleanup. Took 6 months but my score jumped 80 pts

Be careful. A lot of these companies just dispute everything ....valid or not and that can backfire. You don’t need to pay someone hundreds a month for things you can do with a stamp and a spreadsheet.

I used Kentuckiana Credit Repair a couple years ago. Not magic or anything but they were upfront, didn’t overpromise and helped me get a couple collections off my report

I work in lending here in Louisville....be super careful. A lot of repair agencies prey on people desperate to fix their credit. Try working with a nonprofit like Apprisen instead. They do counseling not just disputes.

I used Bluegrass Credit Repair about 2 years ago. They're small but they worked WITH me, not just for me. Set up a plan explained everything, didn’t make any wild promises. My score went from 540 to 680 in about 9 months
